Job description

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, plan, and implement infrastructure development (water, fences, roads, facilities, heavy equipment, gates, etc.) in coordination with Ranch Manager
  • Oversee activities of ranch hands / seasonal workers
  • Oversee ranch headquarters' facilities, maintenance and operations
  • Oversee all wildlife feeding operations on Tonkawa Farms Garwood
  • Take primary responsibility for managing/maintaining water systems
  • Work with Manager to develop water systems suitable for wildlife and livestock
  • Take primary responsibility for maintaining all heavy equipment and vehicles on Tonkawa Farms Garwood
  • Maintain maintenance records and repairs of all equipment and vehicles on Tonkawa Farms Garwood
  • Oversee data entry, reports and administration of ranch infrastructure and facilities on Garwood
  • Assist with any and all other ranch activities as assigned by ranch manager to aid in the development and startup process of ranching and wildlife operations
  • Oversee data entry, reports, and administration of game cameras and input information in GMS Deer Management Program.
  • Assist in management of DMP Deer Pens and Scientific Deer Pens
  • Prepping facilities and vehicles for guest
  • Guiding hunts
  • Being able to accommodate the family's wants/needs
Other Job Responsibilities
  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Ability to successfully perform the responsibilities of this position
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and any other related software
  • Ability to develop and master understanding of ranch organizational responsibilities for each department and abide by all policies
  • A team player, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for natural resource management
  • Requires a valid driver's license in good standing, the ability to be an approved driver for the company and to safely operate vehicles
  • Requires a valid Texas hunting license
  • Ability to traverse rough terrain and work independently in harsh conditions
