Job description

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Supervision of crew
  • Basic chemical application ( Sspraying fences with Glyphosate )
  • Knowledge of irrigation repairs and operation of rResidential irrigation systems
  • Ensure that tasks assigned by Ranch Manager/Assistant Ranch Manager are completed timely and of quality standards
  • Work with crew on same job or as a team to reach high quality finished product
  • Be available when scheduled for any outside vendors performing work onsite
  • Ability to work flexible hours to attend to emergency situations
  • Assist with the maintenance of rental properties
  • Willingness to do what it takes to perform emergency repairs when needed
  • Skill set should include ability to operate landscaping / farming equipment (large tractors and shredders, chain saws, weed eaters, etc.)
  • Monitor project activities to ensure that instructions are followed, deadlines are met and schedules are maintained
  • Tour grounds of property to inspect conditions and creates assignments based on needs
  • Ensure routine maintenance is being followed on all equipment
  • Ensure staff is following established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
  • Helping keep vehicles, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools to maintain and repair machinery or farm structures
  • Oversee/manage special projects as necessary
  • Ability to pull a trailer
  • Ability to work closely and collaborate with a wide variety of people
  • Management may assign other duties and accountabilities limited to those consistent with the applicable job function
  • Traveling between two locations weekly

Qualifications:

Be able to lead the crew and maintain healthy relationships with members of crew

Cooperative, service-oriented attitude, strong team player

High level of self-motivation and at ease working independently when necessary

Cleanliness and organizational skills required

Knowledge of basic water line repairs (PVC pipe repairs)

Landscaping/ lawn maintenance experience or Farming experience

Keep accurate notes of daily accomplishments for Assistant Manager

Ability to coordinate and organize multiple job duties

Ability to communicate well with others and able to provide positive reinforcement

Follow instructions

Ability to train and educate other staff as needed

Eye for detail

Proper and safe operation and maintenance of small equipment to large tractors

Valid Driver's License

Clean DPS record

Mechanical ability

Flexible to cover weekends on rotational basis or other days off as needed
