First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Credit Analyst in the Farm & Ranch Division located in Louisville, Kentucky.
The primary responsibility of this position is to examine, evaluate, and work with loan officers and contractors to recommend approval of customer loan applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; minimum of six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Agricultural knowledge required.
COMPLEXITY: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, volume, and percentages. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Requires attention to details and accuracy in record keeping and reporting due to impact on customer relations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Screen customer inquiries. Collect, review, and analyze customer data - work with loan officers, contractors, and applicants to collect necessary information to make an informed credit decision. Spread financials using underwriting model. Review and analyze credit reports. Prepare and edit loan narratives. Present loans to FFB loan committee. Submit bank approved applications to secondary market investors and/or guarantor. Appraisal review to ensure collateral is adequate based on approval and consistent with what has been previously outlined, if not adequate, reanalyze loan and seek solution. Communicate unique instructions to the Closing Department on loan closings. Recommends and outlines the terms of loans and informs prospective borrowers of loan commitments. Manages delinquent account files in conjunction with loan officer and contractor. Develop new contractor relationships nationwide. Attend trade shows and perform inspections. Some travel is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must haveagricultural knowledge. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access. Must have good verbal and written communication skills as well as problem solving skills. Must be a self-starter.
