Pathways In Education (PIE) is a public charter school serving grades 9-12 in the Nampa and West Ada communities. Pathways considers the unique needs of every student, allowing access to small group classes, guided independent study, online courses, and experiential learning, to address each student's individual strengths and needs.

PIE is looking for educators that are warm, outgoing, authentic, passionate and inspiring. PIE places great emphasis on the student-teacher relationship, a critical component to the development of students' personal, emotional, and academic well-being.
Pathways in Education is looking for a H.S. Teacher with an Idaho Teaching Credential for a Core Subject (6-12) to work at their West Ada location.
Our Ideal Candidate Will:
  • Instruct students in multiple subjects, using various teaching methods, technologies, audiovisual aids and other materials.
  • Prepare outlines for course of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school.
  • Assist pupils in selecting course of study.
  • Counsel students in adjustment and academic issues.
  • Participates in various community groups or functions, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops. Meet with students and parents to discuss student progress and problems.
  • Participate in related activities, such as student organizations or committees.
  • Administer tests to evaluate pupil progress, assess student work product and record results.
  • Maintain attendance records, student files, and transcripts.
  • Assist with State mandated student testing.
  • Responsible for file maintenance in preparation for random, bi-monthly, and year-end audits.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, inviting, professional center for students to attend.
  • Perform other administrative functions and duties assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Ability to teach and delegate responsibility to students.
  • Educational technology, digital teaching, or online teaching and/or learning experience or education preferred
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, exercising reasonable judgment, in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with minimal supervision.
  • Superior organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to synergize with field and corporate staff to implement the educational program.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate problem solving skills, while maintaining courtesy, professionalism, and a customer service attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with students, parents, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and database management.

Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS Degree
  • Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate For Core Subject 6-12
