Job description

Ranch Hand

Babby Farms is in search of a Ranch Hand Laborer. This position includes but is not limited to handling exotics and domestic animals, adding enrichment to the animals' daily lives, providing a clean and healthy environment, all while maintaining a safe and respectful relationship with the animals and coworkers around you.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform various manual labor tasks on the farm, including but not limited to feeding animals, cleaning barns and stables, mending fences, and filling and cleaning water troughs.

2. Assist with harvesting and maintaining Hay.

3. Provide minor care and attention to the animals on the farm, ensuring their well-being and health.

4. Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the farm premises, including weed removal.

5. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

6. Feed animals, clean troughs, and remove uneaten food.

7. Clean, fill, and maintain water troughs.

8. Lift 80 lbs of feed bags and hay bales.

9. Perform basic animal maintenance tasks such as grooming, feeding, training, first aid, dietary planning, hoof maintenance, etc., in accordance with zookeepers.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience working on a farm or ranch is preferred but not required.

2. Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects.

3. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

4. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team as well as solitarily.

5. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.

6. Knowledge of basic farm equipment and tools is a plus.

7. Must be reliable, punctual, and dedicated to the job.

8. Must be able to handle feces and the odors that come with it.

9. Must have a valid driver's license.

10. Must be able to work with children and people with disabilities.

11. Must have good time management.
