Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Poultry Farm Cleanout Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for performing complete farm cleanouts, including removing litter, cleaning, and disinfecting poultry houses to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and biosecurity are maintained. The position requires operating farm equipment, handling cleaning chemicals, and working in various environmental conditions.

Job Description:

Applicants are not allowed to own any kind of birds due to the risk of possible disease transmission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all sanitation, biosecurity, and safety protocols.
  • Perform cleanout tasks in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
  • Operate farm equipment including pressure washers, tractors with implements, skid steer loaders, and articulating loaders.
  • Empty feeders, remove debris, and strip litter from poultry houses.
  • Wash and disinfect farm facilities and equipment according to company standards.
  • Apply designated chemicals to sanitize floors, walls, slats, and machinery.
  • Open and close house doors and assist with general farm operations as needed.
  • Support other departments when required.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to drive a combination vehicle (truck and gooseneck trailer).
  • Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals (detergents, disinfectants, sanitizers).
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, grip, grasp, or twist repetitively throughout the shift.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Exposure to dust, odors, pests, chemicals, damp environments, and extreme hot/cold conditions.
