Job Description: As a Farm Worker and Equine Specialist, you will start with hands-on tasks in farming and manual labour, providing support across various operations. Your role will evolve into specialized work with animals, focusing significantly on horses. This progression includes critical responsibilities such as foaling, broodmare care, handling stallions, preparing yearlings, along with engaging in agriculture/ horticulture activities and general farm maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initial Phase:
    • Perform manual labour tasks related to farm upkeep.
    • Assist in general maintenance duties around the farm to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Progression:
    • Take part in the care and management of broodmares and stallions.
    • Assist with foaling processes, ensuring the health and safety of mares and foals.
    • Participate in yearling preparation, grooming, and training for sales and showing.
    • Contribute to agricultural and horticultural projects, enhancing farm productivity and sustainability.
