Job description

Opal Foods is accepting applications for the position of Stackoff for our Hampton Processing Plant in Hampton, IA. This position is responsible for stacking cases of production on to pallets while maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations. This position will also assist the production lead with other projects and duties as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Once cartons of eggs are boxed and crated, associate is responsible for stacking boxes and crates onto pallets
  • In charge of monitoring and fixing tape machine
  • Responsible for helping other positions and cleaning up as needed
  • Must have attention to detail to ensure the boxes and crates are put on the correct pallets, labels are correct, and boxes are sealed properly
  • Transport eggs from Processing to the Cooler and unload carton trucks as needed
  • Must be able to comfortably lift 25-45 lbs. up to 5 feet high to place on stacked pallet

Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)

  • Follows all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMP
  • Requires walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination
  • Must be able to establish and maintain good relationships and communication with co-workers
  • Must be dependable and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
