The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset and strong operational discipline, with the ability to modernize treasury capabilities, support enterprise decision-making, and ensure the company maintains the financial flexibility to execute its business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously assess capital structure and identify opportunities to optimize cost of capital in alignment with enterprise strategy and financial priorities.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with banks and financing partners, including development of materials for lender discussions and ongoing stakeholder updates.
  • Provide leadership in the evaluation, negotiation, and administration of credit facilities, loan agreements, and covenant compliance.

Cash Flow Forecasting & Liquidity Management

  • Direct the development and refinement of short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow forecasts to inform liquidity strategy and executive decision-making.
  • Partner with business units to translate operating plans into forward-looking cash requirements under multiple scenarios and market conditions.
  • Oversee daily cash positions and funding requirements to ensure adequate liquidity for both operational execution and strategic priorities.
  • Champion working capital optimization efforts and identify opportunities to strengthen free cash flow and financial flexibility.

Bank Administration & Coordination

  • Oversee the timely and controlled execution of domestic and international wire transfers in support of global treasury operations.
  • Direct daily banking activity, including monitoring balances and transactions across accounts to maintain visibility, control, and funding readiness.
  • Manage cash transfers to optimize liquidity positioning and support short- and long-term funding needs.

Risk & Investment Management

  • Help shape interest rate and commodity risk management strategies, as applicable, to protect the company’s financial position.
  • Oversee the investment of excess cash in accordance with approved investment policies, liquidity objectives, and risk parameters.
  • Monitor market trends and economic developments to assess potential impacts on borrowing costs, liquidity, and enterprise financial risk exposure.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver treasury, liquidity, and capital structure reporting that equips senior leadership and ownership with clear insight into financial position and strategic options.
  • Provide analytical leadership for acquisitions, joint ventures, capital projects, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Benchmark the company’s leverage, liquidity, and capital structure metrics against peers and industry standards to inform financial strategy.
  • Ensure debt and treasury activity is recorded accurately and completely each month to support sound financial governance and reporting integrity.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure treasury and debt balances are accurately reflected in financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Support financial audits, lender reviews, and other external engagements as part of the company’s broader financial stewardship responsibilities.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that enhance management visibility into key financial and treasury performance indicators.

Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to treasury policies, debt covenants, and applicable regulatory requirements while reinforcing a strong governance framework.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over treasury and cash management activities to safeguard assets and support reliable execution.
  • Lead support for internal and external audit activities related to treasury operations and compliance.

Business Partnership & Collaboration

  • Partner with Accounting, Tax, Legal, IT, and business leaders to align treasury strategy and execution with broader company objectives.
  • Provide guidance and capability-building support to business partners on treasury processes, liquidity management, and cash management practices.
  • Design, implement, and document treasury processes and controls that promote consistency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead or support treasury-related system implementations and enhancements that strengthen scalability and decision support.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, and/or CTP strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 7 years of progressively responsible finance and treasury experience, preferably in a corporate or privately held company environment.
  • Expert knowledge of treasury and banking concepts, products, and services.
