The main difference between a Farm Commercial Drivers License and a Truck Driver license lies in their specific endorsements and work environments. Farm CDL holders focus on agricultural transport within rural areas, while truck drivers typically operate on broader routes across regions or nationally. Both require a CDL, but farm exemptions may apply to farm CDL holders, making their licensing and usage distinct.

Do you need a farm commercial drivers license to drive for a farm?

A farm commercial driver's license (Farm CDL) is typically required for drivers operating certain types of commercial vehicles on a farm, such as large trucks or tractor-trailers used for transporting crops or equipment. However, for driving smaller farm vehicles or within the farm property, a standard driver's license may suffice. It's important to check local regulations and specific farm vehicle classifications to determine licensing requirements.
