Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems supporting corrugating and converting equipment 
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues ranging from 24V control systems up to 480V power distribution while following International Paper safe work practices
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, control system, and robotic issues to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose equipment failures and apply structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
  • Troubleshoot and support Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, including fault finding and  ladder logic adjustments 
  • Install, maintain, and repair the following:
    • Variable Frequency Drives
    • Photo Eyes
    • Limit Switches
    • Servo Motors and motion control systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and support FANUC robotics systems, including: 
    • Diagnosing alarms and fault codes 
    • Performing basic teach pendant operations and program adjustments 
    • Supporting end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) and safety circuits
  • Responsible for preventative maintenance on equipment, such as any servicing of conveyors, presses, stackers, etc.

  • Be able to read and understand mechanical prints, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.

  • Install, wire, and repair electrical panels, control circuits, and field devices 
  • Experience setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining HMI's 

  • Replace, test, and align three-phase motors 
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, ladder logic, and technical manuals 
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives 
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance team members to resolve equipment concerns
  • Clearly and effectively communicate will all levels in the facility
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, company safety policies, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage 
  • Perform fabrication of equipment (welding both arc and gas) to desired needs.  Be able to make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity.  Be able to identify and locate unusual sounds that indicate potential trouble.  Be able to dismantle equipment to gain access to defective parts.

  • Drill presses, welding, gas, arc, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyor systems, lubrication/preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance.

  • Other duties assigned 

Qualifications: 

The Skills You Will Bring:

Required:

  • 1-3 years of hands-on electrical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment 
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (24V-480V) 
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC systems (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens) 
  • Experience working with VFDs, sensors, servo systems, and motor controls 
  • Experience troubleshooting FANUC robots in a production environment 
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints 
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills 

Preferred:

  • 3-5 years of hands on electrical experience  in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Electrical certification or associate degree in electrical technology or related field 

  • Experience in corrugated, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing environments 

  • Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards 

  • Experience with robotic programming and automation integration 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform tasks that include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs 
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment with noise, heat, and moving equipment 
  • Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces, with appropriate safety measures

  • This position operates in a continuous manufacturing environment requiring flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work involves exposure to mechanical systems, electrical equipment, and automated/robotic cells.
