In this critical role, you will deliver high-quality patient care by providing psychotherapy, conducting assessments, and applying a variety of therapeutic interventions. This position is integral to our mission of improving the mental well-being of families and individuals facing diverse challenges.

About the Organization

At the Spouse and Family Treatment Care Center, we are committed to fostering a supportive environment for those dealing with mental health issues. Our focus is on family-centered treatment, emphasizing collaboration and empathy. Our multidisciplinary team is passionate about contributing to the health and happiness of our community in Fontana, California, and beyond.

Work Environment

This position allows you to work remotely, giving you the flexibility to manage your schedule while providing essential care. However, you will be part of an integrated outpatient office that utilizes telehealth and in-person sessions. Our team thrives on collaboration, with regular virtual meetings and case consultations to enhance patient outcomes and share best practices. You will have access to the necessary tools for effective remote therapy, including secure telehealth platforms and a comprehensive client database.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments that inform treatment plans tailored to individual patients' needs.
  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities to guide patients through their mental health journeys, focusing on issues such as depression, anxiety, and trauma.
  • Facilitate crisis interventions to stabilize clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Lead support groups for parents, addressing critical topics such as addiction recovery, adoption issues, and the unique challenges faced by families affected by prenatal substance exposure.
  • Conduct developmental evaluations for children, offering insights to families regarding their emotional and behavioral growth.
  • Consult with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, enabling a holistic approach to mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and families dealing with complex issues such as addiction, chronic health problems, and emotional disturbances. You will engage with parents on topics related to parenting challenges and offer guidance in creating nurturing environments, particularly for children who are prenatally exposed to substances.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related mental health discipline.
  • Valid and active California LMFT license.
  • Strong understanding of basic medical terminology and the impact of prenatal substance exposure on children.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Department of Mental Health billing and paperwork is preferred.
  • Diverse experience delivering evidence-based therapeutic practices to children and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a supportive therapeutic environment that empowers clients and fosters resilience.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000, reflecting your experience and caseload. In addition to a rewarding salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Health insurance to support your well-being and that of your family.
  • Retirement plans with employer contribution to help secure your future.
  • Funding for continuing education and professional development to enhance your skills.
  • A generous leave policy aimed at promoting work-life balance.
