Job Description

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental hygiene procedures such as cleanings, scaling, and root planing using aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and importance of routine dental care.
Maintain compliant, accurate patient records using EMR systems, adhering to HIPAA standards.
Support dentists in both pediatric and general dentistry procedures as needed.
Ensure strict infection control and sterilization protocols are followed consistently.
Assist chairside during dental treatments to facilitate smooth clinical workflow.
Stay updated on dental terminology, medical coding, anatomy, and advances in patient care.

Salary Range

Part-time $40 - $55 per hour

Shift & Schedule

- Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8-5 Closed; Friday: or Open if you would like to work
- Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
- Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license.
Experience with dental clinic operations and patient interaction.
Proficiency in EMR software; Eaglesoft and Dentrix preferred.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Strong communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain patient confidentiality.

Preferences

Experience in pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry.
Familiarity with medical coding and diagnostic imaging processes.
