Job description

Chef for family ranch an hour west of Wheatland, Wyoming in the Laramie Range Mountains (7,000ft elevation). Remote. Immediate start to Oct. 1st.

A second home to a family that comes up for 4 days at a time, generally, each weekend. HEALTHY and ORGANIC COOKING for numbers ranging from 4-20. A very simple continental breakfast is set out for early risers (set out by housekeeper), a lunch at 12:30ish, then apps/dinner at 6:30/7pm. Work experience as personal/family chef a plus.

A typical week would be Monday and Tuesday off, grocery shopping on Wed, Thur prep and with arrival of family for dinner, Sat- Sun lunch and apps/dinner.

Duties include, but not limited to menu planning, grocery shopping, prep, and cleanup of kitchen dishes. Buffet style meals. Very rarely plated unless for a group of 4 people and under. Maintaining a CLEAN kitchen is very important.

Grocery shopping is an all day event since nearest healthy stores are in Cheyenne (two hours from ranch).

Very small staff of 6.

Must have own vehicle that can handle dirt roads for personal time off. A ranch vehicle will be provided for supply runs.

Option of being flown in, but ranch vehicle will be limited to ranch work only.

$4500/mnth with Discretionary end of summer bonus.

Room and board provided.

Private in suite bedroom

You will be expected to be neat, clean and odor-free while at work.

Cell service is VERY limited, but available in certain locations.

· Wi-Fi in all buildings so Wi-Fi calling is used

· In time off there is amazing hiking, fishing, and biking.

· Sorry, we do not have housing for a family.

You should be a cooperative team member with a pleasant and positive can-do attitude.

You must be a self-starter who takes initiative to get things done without supervision.

You must have the ability to kneel, bend, carry, stoop, climb, and lift items up to 50 lbs,

This is a service industry job, and as such, you must be flexible in dealing with guests, working hours, and job requirements.

Pre-hire drug screening and background checks are mandatory. Must have solid working references.

No smokers and casual drinkers only please
