Family First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. In this full-time role, you will work closely with patients to restore motion, improve functionality, and enhance their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation strategies. Our facility spans 5000 square feet and is equipped with state-of-the-art sports medicine technology, allowing us to cater to a diverse range of patients. Located in Columbia, Maryland, we pride ourselves on our strong team culture that is centered on collaboration among physical therapists and therapists' assistants. With a focus on patient-driven outcomes, we predominantly serve individuals covered by private medical insurance, ensuring accessible and effective healthcare solutions.

Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, involving direct interaction with patients in a home care setting. You will engage with individuals in various environments, adapting your approach to meet unique patient needs. Our work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable routine that contributes to a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals and establish individualized treatment plans.
  • Manage an average caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring focused and personalized treatment.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques in orthopedic settings.
  • Provide patients with effective treatment strategies aimed at improving range of motion, strength, and mobility.
  • Promote alternatives to medications and surgical procedures, emphasizing holistic recovery approaches.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize patient progress.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatments in our EMR system, specifically utilizing WebPT for efficient record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Family First Physical Therapy, we cater primarily to orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from sports-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient population values personalized care that emphasizes restoring movement and improving quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and unrestricted physical therapy license in the state of Maryland.
  • Proven experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, with at least two years of hands-on practice.
  • Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop exercise protocols tailored to diverse patient needs.
  • Competence in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Compensation and Benefits
