By addressing every component of a fall protection program-engineering, procedures, training, and compliance-we help our clients achieve the highest level of worker safety in the most cost-effective way.
We are looking to fill the role of a Fall Protection Project Manager to work for our Safety practice in our Charlotte, North Carolina office. The Project Manager coordinates and leads fall protection projects for LJB, delivering projects on time while fostering client relationships.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

FALL PROTECTION PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Leveraging technical background of applicable codes, standards, and safety systems, to oversee production of construction documents and manage projects from design through installation.
  • Maintain resource assignments using an enterprise resource program (ERP)
  • Develop proposals, budgets, and schedules for new projects
  • Manage the budget of assigned projects.
  • Maintain and develop client relationships to ensure the client is kept informed on project progress.
  • Collaborate with the internal project team members to meet client deadlines and LJB quality expectations
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure LJB Standards and applicable code requirements.
  • Assist in overall group effort to mentor engineers, project managers, safety professionals, and designers to develop and grow the team.
  • Frequent travel to project sites to understand customers' needs and develop recommended scopes of work (potentially up to 30%.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Engage subconsultants and subcontractors as needed to supplement in-house capabilities
  • Strong leadership skills and desire to work as a team to support not only your project but those of other project managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

FALL PROTECTION PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of project manager experience required in the construction of new and existing buildings or renovations utilizing steel and concrete.
  • Experience with fall protection system projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in project or construction management, engineering or safety.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred

Core Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather and bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to perform duties.
  • Must meet the weight capacity of design perimeters of fall protection systems (between 130 to 310 lbs.).
  • Understands the exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
