Job description


As part of a two-person team, Construction Quality Inspectors will be responsible for inspecting, documenting, repairing, and analyzing the quality of the tower condition, and installation including placement of equipment, antennas, radios, and brackets.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Climb towers up to 450 ft using climbing gear, harness, and safety gear while following strict safety procedures and guidelines implemented by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  • Inspect cell site equipment to verify industry standards are implemented
  • Perform visual and structural inspections of towers, antenna and related equipment, this will include documenting every bolt on tower, torque marking, and documenting with photos
  • Perform repairs and document those when necessary
  • Ability to meet quality and measurable productivity standards
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year tower construction and structural experience
  • Knowledge of RF safety and fall protection system
  • Basic understanding of structural integrity and load calculation
  • Current or ability to complete certification in Tower Rescue/Safe Rigging/RF Awareness/OSHA 30 and CPR First Aid
  • One year experience with proper tower installation of antenna, radios, dishes and brackets
  • Must be able to read CD’s, RFDS, and TED’s
  • Proficient computer skills with MS Office, Adobe PDF’s, and database systems
  • Must be at least 21 and have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history for the past 3 to 5 years
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks including drug screen, criminal background, and MVR.
  • Must have the ability to travel 50 to 70% of the work week and weekends when necessary
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain balance coordination, and endurance for extended periods of time at heights
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work outside and withstand varied inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully
