Job description

About WovenX Health, Inc.
WovenX Health is building a new model for specialty care, starting in Gastroenterology. We combine virtual care, clinical navigation, and artificial intelligence to help patients access high-quality care faster while supporting health systems and physician practices across the country. As we continue to scale nationally, we're looking for team members who enjoy building intelligent systems, solving complex operational problems, and creating world-class clinical infrastructure that enables growth.
The Role
This is a rolling application that remains open all year, targeting MBA candidates in their first or second year at a Chicago-based program. The WovenX Team has historically worked with exceptional interns from both Northwestern Kellogg and UChicago Booth.
Internship Format and Schedule: Winter, Spring, and Fall interns commit ~15 hours per week (ranging 10-20) while balancing courseloads over their academic quarter(s). Summer interns, in between their first and second year of a full-time program, commit to a full-time workweek for a 10-12 week period, June - August.
Location: Hybrid, with a preference for interns to join our team in-person in the Merchandise Mart office (The Loop), at least one day per week. Our team is very familiar with working collaboratively around academic schedules.
What You'll Own
We scope projects for our MBA interns quarter to quarter, which may fall into any number of Strategy & Operations initiatives. We dedicate those projects to the high-priority initiatives core to WovenX success, that are aligned with your specific skillsets. Our MBA interns are integrated with our full-time team.
More information on the scope for a specific quarter will be shared during the first stage of your interview process.
Some examples of past MBA Intern work in Strategy & Operations include:
  • Analyzing virtual care and clinical navigation metrics, including staffing and licensing program design and management analytics. Building internal tools that help automate inputs for schedule management and staffing.
  • Supporting WovenX Health's Customer Success Program, designing and implementing ways to grow health providers' and health systems' platform utilization, and improve site performance.
  • Researching new customer segments and helping launch a new sales strategy, including contact management, pitch / sales enablement materials
  • Managing a clinical outcomes research project and drafting a report with published data on the impact WovenX has in colonoscopy scheduling efficiency and outcomes.
  • Guiding the buildout of our national network launch and mapping regulatory and legal requirements for clinical practice across all fifty states + DC
  • Other projects at the intersection of Clinical, Product, Engineering, and Growth to improve workflows and business performance.

Your project TBD!
What You Bring
  • A desire to drive our team and business forward and have a meaningful impact. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, an appetite for startup culture, and excitement about transforming how healthcare works.
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities at WovenX and with school responsibilities.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, asking questions, speaking up, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills across clinical, operational, and commercial teams.
  • A builder's mentality - you enjoy creating systems that scale rather than maintaining legacy processes.
  • Rigorous attention to detail.
  • A professional presence and awareness that aligns with the culture of work in healthcare.

Your Skills and Credentials
  • Current full-time MBA student at Chicago Booth or Northwestern Kellogg.
  • At least 4 years of full-time work experience prior to starting your MBA.
  • Previous experience working in healthcare, life sciences, or similar strongly preferred.
  • Many experiences and backgrounds are welcome, which can be aligned with the specific business needs we have for the quarter (either included in this posting or to be shared in your first interview round). We often have interns who previously worked in product management (technical or core PM), consulting, operations, analytics, or marketing.
  • Comfort and curiosity using the latest AI tools and platforms.

Compensation and Credit
  • The majority of our interns participate in the MedTech or Startup labs (Kellogg) typically in Winter or Spring quarters, or apply for academic credit via the Polsky Center (Booth) or an independent study (Booth or Kellogg).
  • Summer interns are eligible for Startup stipends and matching programs at Booth and Kellogg.
  • WovenX is happy to assist with the academic requirements to share project work and meet criteria of specific programs as appropriate.

Why WovenX
This is an opportunity to help build one of the country's leading specialty care networks and clinical AI platforms. You'll have meaningful ownership, work alongside experienced clinical and technology leaders, and help shape the operational platform that connects virtual care with specialty practices at a national scale. We believe human-centered and AI-driven care is one of the core ways we make specialty healthcare more accessible.
Our team is looking for the brightest minds in healthcare tech who are committed to building something big and meaningful.
WovenX Health is an equal opportunity employer. At this time, WovenX is unable to provide visa sponsorship. All Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship needs.
