Job Overview
Fairview is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Obstetrician and Gynecolgist to join our multi-specialty team at the M Health Fairview Clinic - Princeton, located within Northland Medical Center.
Join our team of fellowship trained physicians within a supportive, highly collaborative environment, with strong backing from both primary care and OB colleagues and a low-stress practice setting. Located just outside the Twin Cities metro, Princeton provides the balance of small-town community care with easy access to urban amenities, major sports teams, and cultural attractions. Princeton is a family-friendly area known for its excellent schools and rapidly growing communities. You'll benefit from an established referral base and the robust resources of a large healthcare system, while still making a personal impact on the lives of your patients.
Practice Details:
M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center has been recognized by Vizient as a top decile performer nationally among 364 community hospitals and earned High Performing Maternity Care honors from U.S. News & World Report in both 2023 and 2024. In addition, the site has been designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Maternity Care, reflecting nationally established criteria for delivering safe, high-quality specialty care.
  • Join a team of 3 Family Medicine physicians with Surgical Obstetrics
  • Annual delivery volume of approximately 350-375 births
  • Surgical cases and deliveries are performed at Fairview Northland Medical Center
  • Robotic surgery is available at our site for OB/GYN procedures.
  • Admitting hospital: Fairview Northland Medical Center
  • Clinic volume: 20-24 patients per day
  • FTE: 0.75-1.0 FTE (with expectation to participate fully in call regardless of FTE status)
  • Schedule: 4-day clinical work week, including clinic, surgery, and on-call responsibilities
  • Call frequency: 4-5 days per month (GYN call coverage only required when covering C-Section call)
  • Robust specialty support on-site, including general surgery, urology, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, and behavioral health
  • Established referral base from Fairview-employed primary care and subspecialty physicians
  • Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training program.
  • BC/BE with the ABMS
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
  • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.

The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills,knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions withthe same min/max are flat rate jobs based on 40 hours/week. Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
