Job description

After School Program Leader-Part-Time - Fairfield, CA
Pay: $19 an hour
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping memories that children will cherish for a lifetime. As a Program Leader we are looking for individuals to inspire, spark curiosity, encouraging creativity, a sense of community, warmth, and foster a deep sense of belonging for every child.
This occurs in a dynamic environment that thrives on innovation, excitement, and adventure. Our mission is to create an unforgettable experience for young minds, providing a sense of wonder and exploration.
Locations: Cordelia, David Weir, Dover, Nelda Mundy, Suisun Valley, TK Fairview, TK Sullivan, and Tolenas
Schedule: Monday - Friday after school 1:30 to 6:00 PM.

Here's what you'll need:
  • Must have completed 48 college credits or passed a paraeducator exam.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
  • Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.

**If a candidate does not meet the educational requirement, they will need to complete the ParaPro testing process prior to being hired or starting in their position.**
As an AlphaBEST Program Leader, you'll be trained to do the following:
  • Lead a group of students through exciting adventures in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
  • Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children's sense of wonder.
  • Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.
  • Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.
