Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer | Alexandria, VA | Part-Time | Weekdays Only

Fairfax Radiology Centers โ€” the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia โ€” is seeking a Part-Time Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer to join our team at our Alexandria Imaging Center.

In this role, you are the steady, reassuring presence for patients when they need it most. Your professionalism, empathy, and sonography expertise help ensure every patient feels supported and cared for throughout their visit.

About the Role
This is a part-time position with a consistent weekday schedule:

  • Monday & Thursday, 7:30 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM

  • No weekends, evenings, major holidays, or call

  • Free on-site parking available

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations, including:

    • OB (1st trimester)

    • GYN

    • Abdominal

    • Small parts

  • Breast ultrasound experience is a plus, but not required

  • Consistently acquire and evaluate high-quality images for diagnostic accuracy

  • Communicate effectively with radiologists regarding exam findings

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with professionalism and empathy

What Youโ€™ll Bring

  • New graduates in Diagnostic Medical Sonography are welcome and encouraged to apply

  • 1+ year of experience in general ultrasound preferred

  • RDMS certification required upon hire

  • Current BLS certification

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
