Job description

Pest Control Route Manager

ValuePest of Wake Co. LLC — Wake County, NC
Are you looking for a Job or Opportunity??

The Opportunity:
ValuePest® of Wake County is recruiting a high‑driven Route Manager to build, operate, and expand residential pest control routes across Wake County. This is not a “show up and spray” job. This is a performance role for someone who desires to dominate a territory, sell proactively, and operate like an owner.
If you can sell, serve, and hustle, you can build a six‑figure route and earn future ownership opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Operate a daily residential route with 8 quality stops per day—not the 15‑stop grind other companies push.
  • Inspect homes, diagnose issues, and build treatment plans using IPM.
  • Perform drilling, trenching, crawlspace work, and vapor barrier/vent installs.
  • Canvasing, generate referrals, and close service plans (bonuses paid on top of draw!).
  • Set up and tear down local promotions to drive new business.
  • Keep your truck tight, clean, organized, and ready to work.
  • Complete all required documentation, follow all regulations, & compliance.
  • Represent VP with confidence, professionalism, and follow‑through.
What We Require:
  • Customer Service experience is non‑negotiable. If you can’t service, this isn’t your job.
  • Experience installing vapor barriers and vents is a plus.
  • Clean driving record, background check, and drug test required.
  • Ability to pass NC licensing exam after 60 days of training (exam in Charlotte).
  • Physically capable of crawling, climbing, lifting 50 lbs, and working in NC weather (34°–100°F).
  • Strong communication, listening skills, and customer service.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and ready to work without babysitting.
Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday, 9–5.
  • Weekends and holidays off.
  • All work performed locally in Wake County.
Compensation: $20,000–$100,000+ per year, based entirely on your performance. You Decide How Much You Make!

Includes:
  • Base pay is a Draw Program.
  • Commissions.
  • Bonus opportunities. (Win a Truck!).
  • We provide phones, tablet, gear, & trucks for business use at fair market rates and insurance coverage while maintaining your independent contractor status. Trucks, phone & iPad are GPS tracked.
  • Clear path to future ownership for top performers.
Why This Job Wins:
Most pest control companies burn techs out with 15–20 stops a day. Are you one of these techs? VP runs a quality‑over‑quantity model that gives you time to sell, serve, and build a profitable route. If you want a job where you can coast, this isn’t it. If you want a job where you can earn, grow, and own, this is your lane.
