Imel Pest Control has been serving the Illinois River Bend area since 1967. We are a family owned and operated business offering premium pest control and extermination services. Imel Pest Control is now running 3 generations strong, with many more generations leading up to Imel Pest Control.

To provide our community with the most fair and comprehensive pest control services available through the cultivation of knowledge and family tradition.

Job Summary

No experience required! Training provided.

If you enjoy working on your own and helping others, this is the job for you. From preventative services to helping those out who were not able to do a professional service themselves, our customers are always happy to see you show up.

One on one job training is provided, then you are provided a personal work truck.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Physical stamina
  • Strong communication, analytical, and observational skills
  • Able to learn application on tablet and basic computer skills

Primary Responsibilities

  • Communicate with potential customers and existing customers.
  • Communicate with management.
  • Commercial outside sales.
  • Care for your work vehicle and drive responsibly.
  • Spray chemicals, apply baits, etc. on or near surfaces of a building to eliminate pests.
  • Identify invading pests including termites, wasps, ants, spiders, beetles, bed bugs, and etc.
  • Set mechanical and bait traps.
  • Identify insect damages to property.
  • Check/Install Sentricon termite stations around or in home.
  • Measure area dimensions requiring treatment.
  • Responsibly apply pesticides and clean up residuals.
  • Use appropriate equipment and safety gear during application.
  • Appropriately power-spray chemicals onto surfaces from the rear of your work truck.
