What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with program and factory customers to identify, develop, and define manufacturing automation and digital solutions.
  • Support early 'New Product Introduction' activities including Design for Manufacturing engagements to shape Raytheon products and
  • automation solutions.
  • Continuous improvement, upgrades, and sustainment of deployed automation systems using core Automation skills including PLC programming, Robotics programming, Vision programming, HMI programming, SCADA development and controls upgrades.
  • Collaborate with the factory to identify, development, and deploy process automation systems and digital solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership through early project phases (ideation through project definition) and continued technical guidance after transition to the project execution team.
  • Exposure and input to full I4.0 project lifecycle- from requirements generation to technical project management to execution & sustainment of automation projects.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with industrial robots and programing PLC's.
  • Experience with industrial vision systems.
  • Experience with automation sustainment and troubleshooting, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with automation cell lifecycle: scoping requirements and deploying new cells

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with deploying complex IIOT based systems.
  • Experience with Cognex and/or Keyence vision systems.
  • Professional experience with the full life-cycle deployment and integration of automation systems (vision, robotics, servo, controls, etc.).
  • Ignition development experience.
  • Python or other scripting experience.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of safety regulations (e.g. OSHA) and electrical compliances.
  • Experience with control systems design (AutoCAD preferred).

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
