A Robot Weld Operator sets up programs, and monitors automated welding machinery to produce metal parts according to specifications. Key duties include loading/unloading components, troubleshooting, performing routine maintenance, and inspecting welds for quality
Position Responsibilities:
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate robotic welding systems, including loading/unloading parts and managing fixtures.
  • Programming & Setup: Select and load welding programs, adjust parameters (amperage, voltage, wire feed) for optimal performance.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished welds using precision tools to ensure compliance with quality standards, removing slag/spatter.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventative maintenance (e.g., tip cleaning, wire replacement) and troubleshoot errors.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing PPE and maintaining a safe work area.

Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:
  • Experience: Previous experience in robotic welding, manufacturing, or manual MIG welding.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, or job specifications.
  • Physical Strength: Ability to lift, pull, push, and stand for long periods

Position Qualifications:
Education:
HS graduate or equivalent required
Experience:
1+ years of prior machinist experience preferred.
Experience in manufacturing or manufacturing quality environment preferred
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing Environment
Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
