Job description

The SIMOS team is currently hiring for full-time warehouse/distribution positions including Loading/Unloading Associate, Stand Up Pacer/Forklift Operator, and Load Planner. You will receive health/dental benefits within the first 30 days, paid time off, and weekly paychecks

Shifts: Must be open to overtime including Saturdays

1st Shift:

  • Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

  • Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

  • Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm

Flex / Weekend Shift:

Seeking flexible, on-call employees for 8-10 hour shifts. Wednesday and Saturday availability preferred due to high business volume. Friday and Saturday shift availability is also encouraged.

Pay Rate: $15.92 - $17.00 / hour

Duties:

As a Loading/Unloading Associate, you'll be responsible for "lumping," which involves loading and unloading heavy bulk items. You must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and have up to one year of experience in a similar role. need to be able to read paperwork on how many cartons per pallet along with separating sku's per pallets and stacking cartons correctly on each pallet. Loaders need to be able to read labels to load in the correct doors.

Stand Up Pacer/Forklift Operator: As a Pacer/Forklift Driver, you'll sweep cartons to the doors you'll need to be able to read labels example - door#, door name You'll need at least one year of experience with a stand-up Pacer, as well as the ability to lift up to 100 lbs individually and 150 lbs with a team member.

Load Planner: As a Load Planner, you'll be responsible for organizing, planning, and tracking warehouse loads. You'll need to be detail-oriented and efficient in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have 6-12 months of warehouse experience, including basic computer and math skills, and experience with an RF scanner, needs to inspect cartons for damages or wrong labels on carton as well as quantity of units in cartons

  • This position requires reaching overhead, twisting, turning, and squatting.

  • Operate a LRT/RF gun as needed.

  • Operate equipment safely and to exception, as needed.

  • Employee must always maintain a work-area and environment that is free of plastic, paper, corrugate, damaged materials, and other debris, to help maintain a safe working environment.

  • Stack and palletize non-perishable bulk products

  • Push and pull carts up to 100lbs solo

  • The warehouse is a high-traffic area and employees must be able to work independently while remaining focused

  • Must be able to lift 70lbs solo and up to 150 as a team

  • Zero tolerance for cellphones on the floor

  • Non-climate control building

Position Requirements:

  • Inspect and pack merchandise using packaging materials to complete customer orders

  • Load and unloads trucks

  • Visual capacity to clearly recognize, read, and understand standard operating procedures, signs, part number labels, and instructions

  • Ability to see/hear and distinguish sounds and signs that alert, instruct, or notify one of danger, such as warning signs, horns, alarms, speech, and vehicular/pedestrian traffic

  • Ability to coordinate maneuvering of varied bilateral hand and foot controls at a rapid pace

  • Ability to utilize personal protective equipment, which may include gloves, safety harnesses, and safety shoes
