About the role
  • We are seeking a hands-on Facility Service Technician to join our facility operations team. The ideal candidate is experienced with the key components of a commercial building and is comfortable working on-site with ladders, tools, and getting involved directly in maintenance and troubleshooting of all building components.You will work closely with our Facility Director and Facility Manager to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the building.

What you'll do
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with electrical systems, HVAC, and plumbing
  • Handle on-the-ground tasks such as addressing water leaks, replacing plugs, and minor repairs
  • Adjust airflow systems, clear choke lines, and perform preventive HVAC maintenance
  • Regularly inspect building infrastructure, identify issues early, and recommend solutions
  • Facilitate major repairs with offsite subcontractors
  • Responsible for all PM operations and routine building inspections
  • Manage and provide quality control of custodian contract / custodial employees
  • Conduct routine inspections for maintenance, safety, and operational readiness
  • Ensure compliance with building safety codes and coordinate safety procedures
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are safe and functional

Required Qualifications
  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience in building maintenance, HVAC, or similar roles
  • Solid working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and plumbing fundamentals
  • Comfortable using ladders, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a facilities team
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC certification or relevant trade credentials
  • Experience in commercial or institutional facilities
