Job description

Overview:  

As a Facilities and Maintenance Technician at PTx Precision Planting, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our facilities. This position is well suited for individuals with experience or interest in facilities management, construction, mechanical systems, or related trades. You’ll work alongside our experienced team to ensure our buildings, grounds, and equipment are properly maintained, safe, and operating efficiently. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and general repairs.  

  • Support facility improvement projects such as equipment installations.  

  • Help maintain safety and cleanliness standards across all buildings and grounds.  

  • Conduct inspections and report on facility conditions.  

  • Assist with organization of maintenance supplies and tools.  

  • Assist with preventive maintenance schedules and documentation for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.  

  • Support the setup and teardown of company events, meetings, and training sessions.  

  • Help manage facility-related work orders and track completion using internal systems or software.  

  • Assist in landscaping and groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and snow removal as needed.  

  • Shadow and support skilled tradespeople (electricians, HVAC techs, etc.) during repairs or installations.  

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.  

Qualifications:  

  • Must be 18 with high school diploma/GED. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  

  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.  

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Enrollment in, or completion of a college or trade school program related to Facility Management, Construction Management, or technical trade. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  

  • Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures.  

Your Compensation

This position will pay within the range of $22.00 - $41.35/hr, based on experience.
