Venturi, LLC, a Chenega Company, has a challenging career opportunity for a Facilities Engineer Intermediate who will work on the TEAMS Next Facilities Lifecycle Management contract.  This individual will support Missile Defense Agency (MDA) military construction projects worldwide.


Responsibilities
  • Participate in an integrated team performing engineering and construction integration and operations functions, including but not limited to facility planning, design, real property and equipment acquisition, construction management, and cost estimating
  • Support facility engineering designs, construction project teams, and on-site equipment systems integration activities for building systems and facilities at multiple sites
  • Analyze engineering tasking requirements, establish mechanical/electrical scope and objectives, and develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) documents
  • Perform relevant engineering research; assist with developing supporting engineering documents such as briefings, information papers, and reports for facilities and infrastructure
  • Support systems engineering integrated baseline reviews, project change management, and acquisition reviews
  • Coordinate with internal and external personnel, including design and construction agents
  • Brief customers, finalize engineering documents, and staff through appropriate offices for approvals and decisions
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, CONUS, OCONUS, and international
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, with at least 7+ years of relevant experience OR
    • A M.E. or M.S. degree (ABET-accredited) in engineering plus 5+ years of relevant engineering experience may be substituted for the 7+ years of relevant engineering experience requirement OR
    • A B.S. degree in engineering and a Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state, plus 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, may be substituted for the 7+ years of relevant engineering experience requirement
  • Secret clearance, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire required
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Capable of providing engineering support for planning, design, construction, and maintenance/sustainment of the physical and natural environments, and the administrative and mission facilities and infrastructure of the MDA
  • Possess technical and engineering theoretical knowledge for an engineering discipline
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in any U.S. state
  • Experience with MDA and DoW construction projects
  • Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, and AFCEC projects
  • Project management during site deployment to include construction, master schedules, budget, and configuration management
  • Facility equipment control systems, including design, acquisition, installation, checkout, and commissioning
  • Construction scheduling, scheduling software, and schedule analysis tools
  • Developing policies, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance for site activation, system deployment, and site sustainment practices
  • Developing and implementing program activities; coordinating efforts of multiple stakeholders, prime contractors, subcontractors, and support service personnel
  • Developing acquisition plans and supporting procurement actions and scopes of work
  • Experience mentoring junior-level staff members

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to review Architect/Engineer (A/E) facility design plans, specifications and contract documents as needed for various facilities
  • Capable of working as a team member to solve complex engineering problems
  • Expertise in execution of facility engineering and environmental policies, studies, and analysis
  • Expertise in on-site construction management to include interaction with construction contractors and owner’s representatives
  • Ability to operate independently and lead various working groups in support of facility projects
  • Required software knowledge includes Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Flexibility to travel/deploy to customer sites for up to 30-40 days at a time, and up to 2-3 times per year. This includes both U.S. and international sites.
