Job description

Prolec GE Is Now A Part Of The GE Vernova Group

We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Facility Engineer to support manufacturing operations and facility systems. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient plant operations, leading capital projects, and implementing process improvements that reduce costs and increase productivity.

You’ll work in a collaborative, matrixed environment, partnering with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and Engineering to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of facility and production systems
  • Lead capital investment projects from concept through implementation and startup
  • Design, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC systems, controls, and automation solutions
  • Develop and manage projects focused on productivity improvement and cost reduction
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors/consultants
  • Support and upgrade systems including:
  • HVAC, electrical, and fire/security systems
  • Oil, vacuum, and manufacturing process systems
  • Facility expansions, consolidations, and improvements
  • Analyze systems performance and identify opportunities for process re-engineering
  • Ensure reliable operation of critical plant infrastructure in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
  • Provide technical leadership and support cross-functional project teams


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of relevant maintenance or facility experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with:
    • PLC programming, HMIs, and industrial automation
    • SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus)
    • Power systems, switchgear, and protective relaying
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems integration
