Job description


The Facilities Dispatch Operator serves as the primary point of contact for facility-related service requests within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for receiving incoming calls, accurately documenting maintenance issues, and entering work orders into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The position supports mission-critical operations by ensuring timely and precise communication between facility occupants, maintenance teams, and operational leadership.
Pay & Schedules Available:
  • $20/hourly, weekday: Monday - Thursday | 6AM - 4:30PM
  • $22/hourly, weekend: Friday - Monday | 6AM - 4:30PM

Responsibilities
  • Answer high-volume incoming calls related to production and facility issues (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and specialized maufacturing systems)
  • Collect detailed and accurate information regarding service requests from engineers, technicians, and facility personnel
  • Enter, update, and track work orders within the CMMS system with a high level of accuracy
  • Prioritize requests based on operational impact, safety, and mission-critical requirements
  • Dispatch or notify appropriate maintenance personnel or contractors as needed
  • Monitor open work orders and provide status updates to requestors and supervisors
  • Identify and escalate urgent issues that could impact production, safety, or compliance
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for auditing and regulatory compliance (FAA, OSHA, and company standards)
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in maintenance operations and call handling efficiency

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a call center, dispatch, or maintenance coordination role preferred
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo or similar systems) strongly preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial facility environments is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical personnel and leadership
  • Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, enterprise systems)
