Facility and Maintenance Service Worker

1,000 Sign on bonus

Location: Wilder, VT / Upper Valley Region

Schedule: Full-time Hourly Non-Exempt

Reports to: Maintenance & Facilities Manager

Starting Wage: $25.00

40-45 hours per week

Benefits: Medical, Dental and Vision

Retirement: 403b with company match

Advance Transit is looking for a Facility & Maintenance Service Worker to join our team and help maintain our buses, facilities, and community spaces that thousands of riders rely on every day.

This position plays a vital role in supporting the heart of public transportation—ensuring our buses, shelters, and facilities stay safe, clean, and ready to roll.

What You’ll DoEvery day brings something new! You’ll:
  • Clean and maintain buses, shelters, and facilities to keep our system shining.
  • Fuel and inspect buses, keeping detailed records.
  • Perform basic repairs, snow removal, lawn care, and general upkeep of AT properties.
  • Support the maintenance team with road calls and inspections.
  • Represent Advance Transit proudly while keeping our community’s transit system in top condition.

    Schedule and Hours

    This position offers a varied schedule with no weekends and 40–45 hours per week.

    You’ll typically work 2 to 3 closing shifts each week, which means working until approximately 9:30 p.m.
