Job description

Position is Contingent upon contract award
As the Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all facilities operations and maintenance activities for the site, ensuring reliable performance of critical and non-critical infrastructure systems while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This role leads maintenance personnel, manages preventative maintenance programs, coordinates facility-related projects, and ensures operational continuity for mission-essential systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage facilities operations and maintenance teams in coordinating and executing all site maintenance activities for critical and non-critical infrastructure systems.
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all site personnel through compliance with safety standards, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Oversee and manage preventative maintenance programs for all facility equipment and systems to minimize downtime and prevent mission interruptions.
  • Manage critical spare parts inventory for mission-essential equipment to reduce the risk of unplanned outages and operational disruptions.
  • Interpret, implement, and enforce maintenance policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Notify designated Government Points of Contact (GPOCs) and/or Operations personnel regarding significant facility events and operational issues.
  • Compile and present summaries of facility events, corrective actions, remediation plans, and operational impacts to site leadership and management forums.
  • Update, revise, and maintain maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) annually in coordination with site engineering teams.
  • Develop and manage training plans for 24/7 operations personnel to ensure a highly skilled and responsive workforce capable of addressing site anomalies and emergencies.
  • Coordinate the integration of new construction projects into the site maintenance program, including development of testing requirements and support for site acceptance reviews.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor performance to ensure compliance with operational requirements and service expectations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility reliability, efficiency, and operational readiness.

EDUCATION & EXEPRIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree or trade school preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of facilities operations experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) consecutive years of supervisory experience in facilities operations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS:
  • Experience supporting mission-critical, government, data center, industrial, or secure facility environments.
  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, backup power systems, fire/life safety systems, and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Relevant industry certifications or technical training preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated experience managing critical infrastructure maintenance programs in a mission-critical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance practices, facilities operations, and maintenance management systems.
  • Ability to analyze operational issues, develop corrective action plans, and communicate effectively with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and implementing maintenance SOPs and operational procedures.
  • Proven ability to lead and train teams in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
