Job description

This position is responsible for the initiation and maintenance of inventory controls, policies, procedures and systems to achieve accurate financial inventory information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize, plan, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of Facilities staff.
  • Ensure each job is completed and follow up with the requester.
  • Create purchase orders for parts and materials needed, monitor and control spare inventory stock
  • Assist in selecting outside contractors.
  • Source vendors for parts and material needed for Facilities and other departments.
  • Maintain and update all facility maintenance records.
  • Supervise outside contractors for routine maintenance work per contract.
  • Assist with modifying and maintaining company improvement programs such as the recycling program.
  • Maintain records of Facilities work order, and general incident reports.
  • Train facilities staff as well as other departments in facility maintenance, safety methods, procedures, and techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to function independently and multi-task
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Negotiation skills required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (excel and word) required
  • Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
Education and Experience:
  • Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 years of facility maintenance experience required, 5 years preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Must have experience selecting contractors and creating purchase orders
