Job Description
The Senior Consultant, Marketing Social Media will work in coordination with the Manager, Advertising & Consumer Marketing to implement brand strategies and campaigns in the digital space, including all UC Health social media accounts and other communities as assigned.
Responsibilities
Content Creation and Distribution
  • Responsible for creation and curation of content on all social channels, including Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. This includes video, graphic and written content along with Stories and Reels.
  • Work with cross functional specialists (marketing, SEO, public relations, communications, creative, etc.) for conceptualization of content. Manage content calendars and help organize and deploy content from multiple sources on multiple platforms.
  • Develop social media strategies for organic content promotion, growth and expanded brand awareness.

Social Monitoring and Reputation Management
  • Manage community relationships while regularly monitoring social media platforms, responding to mentions, comments, and direct inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Patient Relations, Compliance, Legal and the UC College of Medicine to ensure all content or language published to UC Health social media accounts and platforms adheres to UC Health editorial guidelines in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security requirements.

Digital Advertising
  • Collaborate with Manager, Advertising & Consumer Marketing and agency partners to develop Social Media and PPC advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign data and provide monthly reporting on KPIs to marketing team and leadership.

Reporting and Administration
  • Manage social media accounts, staff permissions and proxy access, and troubleshooting.
  • Measure, analyze and report weekly and monthly metrics and identify areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Provide in-depth analysis as part of the marketing monthly scorecard.
  • Monitor development of new social media trends in the field.

Training and Education
  • Provide social media trends to leadership and evaluate potential for incorporation with UC Health.
  • Provide outstanding services and lead the education for UC Health leadership and staff to leverage online channels more effectively and within the UC Health brand guidelines.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, PR, journalism or relevant field, minimum required. M.A., M.S., or M.B.A, preferred.
Experience: Three to five years equivalent experience, minimum required.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Experience and understanding of current social media techniques and trends
  • Must possess knowledge of managing platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn, as well as emerging platforms
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database skills, graphic presentation, basic SEM/SEO skills
  • Copywriting, proofreading, basic photography and videography skills
  • Adobe platform experience a plus
  • Skilled in project management methodologies, standards and tools
  • Excellent team, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Healthcare Experience Preferred
