Job description

Operations Manager job in Phoenix, Arizona is available with Moseley Techincial Services Top Global Leader of Semiconductor Manufacturing Solutions. In this full time, direct hire, salaried job you are responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of manufacturing and operational activities. This role directs daily manufacturing operations, supply chain execution, production planning, quality performance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of customer solutions.  The Operations Manager serves as the operational leader responsible for transforming customer orders into high-quality products while driving operational excellence, Lean manufacturing principles, margin expansion, and scalable growth. Working closely with Product Management, Project Management, Business Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality, this role ensures that operational capabilities support both customer requirements and company financial objectives.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead all manufacturing, assembly, testing, logistics, and operational activities for Spec Gas and related equipment products.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support company growth, customer commitments, and financial objectives.
  • Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, delivery, and profitability targets.
  • Establish and drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Root Cause Problem Solving methodologies.
  • Manage operational performance through disciplined KPI measurement, visual management, and accountability processes.
  • Drive operational readiness and execution for new product introductions and product transitions.
  • Maintain high workplace safety standards and promote employee engagement in safety initiatives.
  • Develop and execute plans to improve manufacturing absorption, capacity utilization, and operational leverage.
  • Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing, planning, supply chain, and operations team members.
  • Identify talent development opportunities and succession planning needs.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive manufacturing or operations leadership experience within semiconductor, specialty gas, industrial equipment, capital equipment, or advanced manufacturing environments
  • 5+ years leading multi-functional manufacturing, supply chain, or operations organizations.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of improving operational performance, profitability, and customer delivery metrics.
  • Strong understanding of engineered-to-order, configure-to-order, and standardized manufacturing environments.
  • Experience managing production planning, materials management, quality systems, and supply chain operations.
  • Working knowledge of fabrication, assembly, testing, and equipment manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Kaizen events, 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Root Cause Analysis, and KPI-driven management systems.
  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence programs.
  • Experience managing budgets, cost reduction initiatives, margin improvement programs, and operational forecasting.
