Trinity Employment. is seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication Managerto lead and grow our Springfield, Missouri fabrication shop.

This position plays a critical role in expanding MCC’s customer base in the Springfield market and offers a clear long-term path to executive leadership, with succession potential into a senior company role over time.

Steel Fabrication ManagerKey Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Operations
• Serve as overall manager of the steel fabrication shop, overseeing daily operations, production, quality, safety, staffing, and financial performance.
• Maintain full accountability for departmental P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
• Quantify, justify, and recommend capital investments in equipment, technology, and infrastructure.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and safety.
• Review department goals and align them with overall corporate objectives.

SteelFabricationManagerTeamDevelopment&Management:

• Manageandgrowacurrentlysmallteam
• Partner with HR to coordinate and conduct employeeevaluations, performance reviews, and wage adjustments.
• Establish competitive wages consistent with local trade markets and award increases based on performance and milestones.

Customer & Business Development

Technical & Fabrication Knowledge

• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of:
• Stainlesssteel
• Mild/carbonsteel
• Weldingandfabricationprocesses
• Review equipment usage, consumables, inventory levels, and space requirementsto ensure operational efficiency.

SteelFabricationManagerSkills&Competencies:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Collegedegreeand/oraminimumof5yearsofindustrialorcommercialconstructionexperience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice(Word,Excel,PowerPoint)
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and math skills
• Excellent organization, time management, and leadership abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work overtime and non-standard schedules as required
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

* Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, or fabricators.

* Evaluate employee performance.

* Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.

* Determine standards, budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor availability, and workloads.

* Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications, using standard formulas.

* Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.

* Plan and develop new products and production processes.

* Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hirings, evaluations, or promotions.

* Set up and adjust machines and equipment.
