Job description

Job Title: Azure Data Engineer (MS Fabric is must have)
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract (inperson interview)
Experience: 10+ Years
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize T-SQL, Python, and PySpark code.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory.
  • Design and maintain data models using Medallion architecture.
  • Develop solutions using Microsoft Fabric components, including Data Warehouse and Spark.
  • Use GitHub for source control.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve development productivity.
  • Support Power BI semantic models and reporting needs.
  • Mentor junior team members.

Required Skills
  • Overall 10+ years of exp
  • Strong experience with T-SQL.
  • Proficient with Python or PySpark.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric Pipelines or Azure Data Factory.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise data modeling.
  • Working knowledge of Data Vault 2.0 data modeling and integration methodology.
  • Basic understanding of AI-assisted software development.
