Job description

JOB TITLE Fabric Inspector

SALARY Non-Exempt -Hourly

JOB LOCATION TB Arhaus Upholstery – Conover, NC

WEEKLY HOURS Monday – Thursday 6a-3:30p & Friday 6a -10a. Overtime as needed

DEPARTMENT TB Quality Control

REPORTS TO Manufacturing Solutions Supervisor

POSITION DETAILS JOB PURPOSE

The fabric inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of the fabric meets Arhaus standards, before introducing it into production.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•While partnering with the receiving team, the inspectors will approve or deny the fabric as it comes into the facility.

•The inspectors will provide feedback to the Manufacturing Solutions Supervisor and the cutting supervisor on products received and possible delays.

•The inspectors will be required to complete documentation on all products received.

•All issues will be escalated to the appropriate personnel.

•All other duties assigned by the supervisor.

•Regular and predictable performance of job duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1 Year of furniture experience and at least 6 months of quality inspection.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1 year of fabric inspection within furniture manufacturing.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or Equivalent

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or Equivalent

REQUIRED SKILLS PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

•High attention to detail and quality.

•Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.

•Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.

•Must be able to lift and move materials as needed up to 60lbs.

•Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
