Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for an FAA Assembly Mechanic to join a leading Company located in the Kingman, AZ surrounding area.

This is a general mechanical position focused on the inspection, teardown, repair, and overhaul of aircraft wheels and brake components. The role is ideal for entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude, including those with automotive or military mechanical experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Construct, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and components
  • Perform teardown, repair, and overhaul of:
    • Aircraft tires (wheel line)
    • Aircraft brakes (brake line department)
  • Identify worn or damaged parts and coordinate replacement
  • Use hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively
  • Follow established procedures and work instructions
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (as required)

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude (experience in automotive repair or similar is acceptable)
  • Experience working with hand tools
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior military mechanical experience
  • 0-2 years of hands-on mechanical experience
  • Completion of apprenticeship or formal technical training (a plus)
