SHIFT AVAILABILITY

  • Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm

GENERAL SUMMARY

It is the responsibility of the Airfield Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance on the airfield, roads, grounds and buildings at all facilities owned or operated by the IAA. Maintenance tasks include, but not limited to grass mowing, pavement repair, fence repair and general upkeep of grounds or buildings. Because this is a temporary position, there are no benefits available.

The hours for this position are: Monday through Friday - 07:00AM to 03:30PM.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Mow/weed-eat grass.
  • Operate small and large mowing equipment.
  • FOD Control.
  • Landscaping.
  • Perform minor and major repairs as directed by the Supervisor or Group Leader.
  • Report any unusual security situations to the Safety Department.
  • Maintain appearance by corrosion control of all airport equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be over the age of 18 due to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) criminal history background check due to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Operate small equipment and power tools.
  • Lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Climb ladders and stairs.
  • Climb, craw, walk, sit, stand, pull, push, stoop, bend, squat, stretch.
  • Have full physical dexterity and agility.
  • Write, talk, see, hear.
  • Operate airport radio.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work independently.
  • Work as a Team.
  • Work in all types of weather and temperature conditions.
  • Work outside and inside.
  • Exposure to moving machinery.
  • Multiple work sites including IAA Reliever airports.
