THE POSITIONโ€ฆ

As a Certification Engineer, you will provide engineering and technical support in the evaluation and testing of existing and emerging technologies, systems, and capabilities. Youโ€™ll be responsible for testing and certifying electrical equipment to support FAA TSO, STC and PMA activities and manage the entire testing process from project start to finish. To be successful in this role, youโ€™ll need to be adept in reviewing technical data and forms to ensure compliance with requirements, while providing top-notch customer service.

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IFโ€ฆ

  • You have a high school diploma or GED.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and certifying electrical equipment.
  • You have direct experience with industry, regulatory, and/or military standards/specifications.
  • You are experienced in using Oscilloscopes, DVMs, data acquisition, and other electrical test equipment.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • You have strong attention to detail.
  • You are organized, focused and results oriented.
  • You are a problem-solver with critical thinking and prioritizing skills.
  • You have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • You have a bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • You have familiarity/experience with RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-311A, MIL-STD-810G/MIL-STD-461F and FAA TSO.

  • Author certification test plans, test reports and various other project documentation
  • Execute test plans/programs to verify compliance to regulatory and quality requirements to include authoring test reports to meet committed project deadlines
  • Coordinate activities with external test labs/resources
  • Assist with prototype build and evaluation
  • Design, build, and specify equipment necessary for testing products
  • Evaluate new technology components and designs to improve certification testing to ensure quality, functionality and safety of products.
