Job description

Prolim is hiring for Java Developer for a leading client
This Java/React developer position supports the Michigan Department of Transportation's (MDOT) Project Development and Maintenance programs.
As a software developer, responsibilities include collaborating with the project manager, application owner, and resource manager, working on an agile development team to organize work, develop, test, and deploy code. This role performs a variety of complex tasks and may report directly to a project lead or manager. Strong communication skills, teamwork, self-direction, commitment, and quick learning are essential.
In addition to full-stack development, this position works closely with UI/UX team members to build modern, responsive user interfaces using React.
Required Experience
  • Programming complex systems using current Java and development tools such as Eclipse/JBoss Developer Studio - 7 Years
  • Programming with Java 8 - 4 Years
  • Development using the current Spring Framework - 5 Years
  • Development with JPA/Hibernate - 5 Years
  • Agile development environment experience - 5 Years
  • Programming with Oracle 12C or Oracle 19C - 4 Years
  • Development using React.js for building responsive user interfaces - Desired/Required based on business need, 4 Years
  • Programming in the JBoss Enterprise environment - 4 Years

Desired Experience
  • Frontend development experience with a strong focus on meeting WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards (or higher).
  • JUnit, Tiles - 4 Years
  • Reporting tools such as Jasper Reports - 4 Years

Additional Info:
  • Interview Process: There will likely be two rounds of interviews. Interviews will be held in person. Candidates MUST be available for an in-person interview.
  • Duration: 1 year with extension likely
  • Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are required onsite days.
