NOC L2 and Fulfillment Engineer

Location:

What you'll do:

As an Network Operations Center - IT Staff Engineer I you'll work in a role with proficiency in network operations and infrastructure products who is responsible for managing and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure. You'll identify development and support needs, take on design responsibilities supporting project tasks, and facilitate dialogue across NOC L1, NOC leads, fulfillment, engineering, observability, and Critical Response Coordination. This role supports production network stability through incident triage, fulfillment execution, service request handling, network readiness, documentation, and repeatable operational improvement.

Take assignments that can be worked on individually without supervision and manage work effort from concept to completion.

Design and implement engineering principles aimed at reliability practices and sound recovery procedures.

Design transaction specific application performance monitoring metrics that can be captured and passed to business partners. In Addition, will layout reference architecture and visual diagrams that capture work.

Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and industry standards, including reviewing and refining IT control enhancements.

Manage network queues and ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests, fulfillment tasks, and operational work.

Perform daily health checks and network readiness validations across on-premises and cloud network infrastructure.

Maintain, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure including routing, switching, firewall, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, SD-WAN, load balancing, and cloud networking technologies.

Remediate network and security-related incidents and service issues while maintaining accurate ServiceNow work notes, ownership updates, resolution details, and closure information.

Perform network infrastructure upgrades, maintenance activities, patching, and vulnerability remediation following established change management processes.

Provide technical triage and troubleshooting support during major incidents, outages, service disruptions, and high-impact operational events.

Administer DDI services including DNS, DHCP, IP address management, Infoblox IPAM records, and network inventory accuracy.

Support Cloudflare DNS administration, F5 LTM / GTM, Azure Load Balancers, firewalls, and related network service availability.

Create and maintain site diagrams, network documentation, operational procedures, knowledge articles, and runbooks.

Partner with automation and observability teams to identify and implement automation opportunities for repeatable network operational processes.

Work and communicate effectively in a dynamic team environment.

What you'll need:

5+ years of related experience in IT Networking, Network Operations, Network Security, Infrastructure Support, IT App Support, IT Development, or similar field.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical or business-technology field required.

Additional certifications in Cisco Enterprise Networking, SD-WAN, firewall technologies, cloud networking, or ITIL are highly desirable.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking preferred.

Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.

Advanced proven experience supporting production operations through break/fix engineering, incident triage, root cause analysis, service restoration, and coordination across infrastructure, network, fulfillment, observability, and application support teams.

Intermediate to advanced ability to understand end-to-end operational impact and improve fulfillment processes through clear intake, technical review, execution standards, risk identification, documentation, queue hygiene, and alignment with operational readiness and compliance requirements.

Strong troubleshooting and support experience across enterprise networking, routing, switching, firewall, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, load balancing, SD-WAN, and cloud networking technologies.

CCNP, Palo Alto NSP, or equivalent industry certification preferred.

Experience with ServiceNow, SolarWinds, LiveNX or LiveAction, ThousandEyes, NetBrain, AppDynamics, F5 LTM / GTM, Cloudflare DNS, Infoblox DDI, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Cisco Meraki, Cisco ASA / FTD / Firepower, Cisco FMC, Azure Firewall, and Azure Load Balancers preferred.

Working knowledge of ITIL practices including incident, request, change, problem, and knowledge management.

Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.

May require up to 25% travel.
