Registered Nurse - PACU/PreOp
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our PACU/PreOp team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in post-anesthesia care and pre-operative procedures. This role requires the ability to work effectively within a busy environment while providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in the PACU and PreOp settings, including monitoring vital signs and performing assessments.
  • Manage patient intake and pre-operative preparations, including IV starts and education.
  • Discharge patients from the PACU, ensuring proper education and follow-up care.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the department, including stocking supplies and checking equipment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Must possess current RN licensure.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in PACU required; experience in a similar setting preferred.
  • Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling options of either 4 ten-hour shifts or 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, depending on departmental needs.
