Job description

Purpose: To set-up, run and maintain operations on machines to extrude or draw thermoplastic materials into tubes, rods, hoses, wires, bars, or structural shapes. The Extrusion Helper will ensure machines run smoothly and efficiently on a daily basis, as well as maintain superior quality control standards while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
  • Must be able to communicate and work well with team members, shift supervisors and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise
  • Use regulated cleaning solutions, grease guns, oils cans, air hoses and cleaning cloths to properly maintain and clean equipment on a daily basis
  • Report any necessary repairs, replacements, and defective components on equipment
  • Maintain positive employee relations and adhere to Company policies and safety standards
  • House Keeping must keep work area clean at all times
  • Reports to department Supervisor

Requirements:
  • Able to lift at least 50lbs
  • Well-organized and history of showing initiative
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina and strength
  • Must be flexible: able to work extended hours and weekends when required
  • Attendance must be 98% or better
  • Must be able to read and write
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2nd Shift- 2:45pm-11:15pm. Must be able to work on the weekends or OT, if necessary
