Production Operator - Aqueous Extraction
Kingstree, SC
12-hour rotating shift, 7-7 (days, nights, weekends)
The Production Operator - Aqueous Extraction plays a critical role in safely operating and monitoring extraction and manufacturing processes to produce high-quality products. This position combines hands-on equipment operation, process control, quality monitoring, and troubleshooting while maintaining strict compliance with safety, GMP, and environmental standards. Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Your key responsibilities
  • Safely operate, monitor, and adjust manufacturing equipment and automated process control systems to maintain production within established operating parameters and quality standards.
  • Perform material handling, product transfers, mixing, batching, cleaning, sanitization, and other production activities in accordance with SOPs, GMP requirements, and batch records.
  • Conduct routine quality checks, collect samples, monitor process data, and identify, troubleshoot, and escalate process deviations or equipment issues as needed.
  • Accurately complete production documentation, batch records, logbooks, permits, and shift reports to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Adhere to all Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), safe work practices, and stop-work authority to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Collaborate effectively with operators, supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to support production goals, continuous improvement initiatives, and successful shift handovers.

You bring
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting ability, and manual dexterity to safely operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, SOPs, and GMP-compliant production practices.
  • Ability to identify process deviations, troubleshoot issues, and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete production records and documentation.
  • Effective communication and basic computer skills, with the ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule - days, nights, weekends.

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $19.50-$28.00.
