Job description

SUMMARY
The Lead EVS Attendant will supervise EVS Attendants in the absence of the supervisor. Responsible for cleaning floors, furniture, windows, walls, following established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. Must provide an exceptional experience for internal and external Guests and in both public and back-of-house areas. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the organization's policies and procedures, tribal regulations, and all federal/state laws, as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. All Team Members must embrace and deliver Kiowa's Guest Service Standards to every Guest on every shift, as outlined in Orientation, the Team Member Handbook, SOP's, and any other related training.
  2. Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the properties, exceeding the expectations of external and internal Guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
  3. Maintain appropriate paperwork, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  4. Ensure Team Members follow safety rules and regulations.
  5. Conduct random inspections of public areas and office spaces and monitor Team Member performance.
  6. Clean lobbies, casino, lounges, restrooms, corridors, and stairways.
  7. Sweep, scrub, wax, and polishes floors.
  8. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  9. Dust furniture, artwork, and picture frames.
  10. Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
  11. Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
  12. Empty and clean wastebaskets and ashtrays.
  13. Transport trash and waste to disposal area.
  14. Replenish bathroom supplies when needed.
  15. Reposition chairs, tables, etc. to their original positions.
  16. Keep all public areas in the casino clean of any unused glasses, bottles, debris.
  17. Report all defects in equipment, furniture, and fixtures to the EVS Supervisor or EVS Manager.
  18. Clean and dispose of biohazard waste in proper equipment when required, which may include feces, vomit, and blood.
  19. Offer support and assistance to other Team Members and departments.
  20. Maintain knowledge of special events, hours of operation, and other pertinent information.
  21. Must adhere to safety rules and regulations and applicable processes for safe operations.
  22. Perform additional duties or projects, as assigned.

Conditions in this job may require exposure to extreme heat or cold and/or equipment, tools, or chemicals that can be hazardous if not handled or disposed of properly. Job requirements include ability to lift, move, carry, and balance heavy objects and involve standing and walking for hours at a time.
While performing the job duties, the employee is required to maneuver in all areas of casino and related entity locations when necessary. Ability to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the offices and between buildings or properties for the duration of work hours. Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms, including lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, or boxes, up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color, and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office or other equipment and examine documents, records and files.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
    • High School diploma or GED is required.
    • 2 years' experience in an EVS or custodial position at large facility or multi-property locations is preferred.
    • Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry preferred
  • LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
    • Ability to obtain and maintain Gaming License is required.
    • Key positions require knowledge and application of Title 31 reporting requirements.
    • Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug test.
