Job description

Manager of Financial Reporting, 14,526

Our client is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting, to join our Accounting team based in Northern Virginia

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the interim and annual financial reporting processes, which includes the preparation and distribution of financial statements, footnote disclosures, and management’s discussion and analysis to the Company’s internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete preparation of variance analyses
  • Complete disclosure checklists to ensure financial statements and footnote disclosures are in compliance with applicable requirements
  • Provide technical support on accounting disclosure issues to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and enhance internal controls for internal and external reporting processes, including the review of the Company’s process narratives and policies around disclosure controls and internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)
  • Assist with the month-end consolidation process
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting requirements or disclosure requirements in coordination with the technical accounting team and external auditors
  • Assist with Company’s review of contracts for accounting implications to determine reporting and disclosure requirements
  • Other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current CPA designation
  • 7+ years of related experience (3+ years SEC experience)
  • Strong knowledge of SEC reporting and US GAAP
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of current reporting matters
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Experience with Workiva Wdesk platform, preferred
  • XBRL experience, preferred
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential material
