Position Summary

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading all sales and revenue-driving efforts for the property. This role focuses on growing occupancy, ADR, and long-term room nights by targeting key extended-stay demand segments and building strong relationships within the local market.

This position blends strategic planning with hands-on sales execution, with a strong emphasis on business development, account management, and community engagement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive occupancy, ADR, and revenue growth
  • Identify and secure business across key extended-stay segments including:
    • Construction and trades
    • Corporate/project-based travel
    • Relocation and housing services
    • Healthcare, education, and government accounts
  • Actively prospect new business through sales calls, networking, and site visits
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local demand generators and key clients
  • Negotiate and manage corporate and project-based contracts
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and revenue team on pricing strategies and forecasting
  • Track and report sales activity, pipeline performance, and account production
  • Position the hotel as the preferred extended-stay option within the Wichita market
  • Represent the property at community events and industry engagements


Requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hotel sales experience
  • At least 1 year in a leadership or senior sales role preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong ability to generate new business and build lasting client relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through
