Assistant and Supervisor Floater Positions
Extended Day Program
QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School graduate.
  2. Previous experience working with school age children and/or university related course work.
  3. Demonstrate aptitude and/or competence working with school age children.
  4. Site Supervisor Floater must have a minimum of 60 hours of college course working, including 12 hours in a child related field.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Reports to Kids' Time sites as assigned by the substitute caller.
  2. Work cooperatively with the site team to implement daily activities.
  3. Carry out lesson plans and follow daily schedule as outlined by site director when site director absent.
  4. Develop effective communication with the parents of children enrolled in the program. Work with School Resource Personnel as needed.
  5. Provide a safe, nurturing, child-oriented environment and meet Environmental Health guidelines regarding cleanliness.
  6. Maintain effective communication with substitute caller and with home base supervisor.
  7. Other duties as assigned by the Extended Day Coordinator.

RATE OF PAY: $16.04 - $18.21 per hour - Assistant Floater
$18.09 - $20.54 per hour with minimum of 60 hours of college course work, including 12 hours in child related field Supervisor Floater
Pay based on education and experience
HOURS: 6:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. and/or
3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Days to be determined dependent on applicants' availability and department needs.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
T.B test upon employment at the expense of the applicant.
Upon recommendation for employment, applicants must be fingerprinted under the Revised School Code (MCL 380.1230a) and under the Childcare Organizations Act (MCL 722.111). The fingerprinting is conducted by a third party and is at the expense of the applicant. The cost for fingerprinting is approximately $70.00.
A second set of fingerprints is also needed for LARA (childcare licensing). The cost is approximately $61.00. Free vouchers may be available from LARA.
